Large Group/ High Risk Events Terms and Conditions
Beverage Service
For High-Risk Events, 80+ Guests and 21st Birthdays, the beverage service must be selected from the venue’s pre-priced beverage packages:
- Clients may select from beer, wine & soft drink packages, or beer, wine, spirits & soft drink packages
- On-consumption (pay-as-you-go) bar tabs are not available
- Packages are charged at a fixed per-person rate and are not based on consumption
- Individual bar tabs are not permitted while a package is in place
- Final guest numbers must be confirmed 14 days prior and will be charged accordingly
The venue reserves the right to manage beverage service in line with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) obligations and all licensing requirements.
Agreed Finish Time, Overtime & Vacating the Premises
Events must conclude at the agreed finish time stated in this agreement. Guests are required to vacate the venue promptly at this time.
If guests remain on the premises beyond the agreed finish time (with or without prior approval):
- Overtime will be charged at $450 per 30-minute increment (or part thereof)
- Overtime charges apply whether or not beverage service continues
- Charges will continue until the venue is fully vacated
- Any additional staffing, security, cleaning, or operational costs incurred may also be charged
The venue may cease beverage service, close the bar, and take reasonable steps to clear the premises to meet RSA and licensing obligations.
Refusal to vacate may result in security or authorities being engaged, with all associated costs charged to the client.
Security Bond (High-Risk & 21st Events)
A refundable security bond of $1000 is required for all 21st birthday celebrations and High-Risk Events.
- The bond is payable 7 days prior to the event, together with final payment
- The bond may be applied toward costs associated with breakages, damage, excessive cleaning, overtime, or additional staffing/security resulting from the event
- Any unused portion of the bond will be refunded within 72 hours following a post-event inspection
Security, Glassware & Venue Care
To ensure the safety and comfort of guests, staff, and surrounding businesses:
- The venue may require security personnel at the client’s expense if deemed necessary
- Beverage service may be adjusted to support responsible service of alcohol
- Polycarbonate or non-glass alternatives may be used for certain events
- Excessive breakages, damage, or cleaning beyond standard wear and tear will be charged to the client
- Broken or damaged glassware will be charged at $20 per item, reflecting replacement and handling costs, including glassware damaged in bathrooms and external areas
Other Venue Rules
- Damages: The client is liable for any damage to property, fittings, or equipment.
- Decorations: No decorations, adhesives, or attachments to walls or ceilings without prior approval.
- External Catering: Only wedding cakes/cupcakes permitted (cakeage fee may apply). No other external food or beverages allowed unless approved.
- Noise: All music must conclude by midnight. Guests must depart quietly and promptly.
- RSA & Conduct: Reno’s Bistro practices Responsible Service of Alcohol. No service to minors or intoxicated guests. Management reserves the right to remove any person behaving inappropriately.
- Suppliers: External suppliers must complete setup and pack-down within allocated times.
- Cleaning: Standard cleaning is included. Excess cleaning or use of confetti/scatters incurs an additional.
